They met at a nearby cigar lounge. Mike, an avid and formidable historian and antiquities dealer, met Matt, a rogue and multi-faceted software developer and architect, began talking about the importance of history.
Both had their ‘wheelhouses’ but the thing that connected them was antiquities, the physical remnants of the human story that is both breadcrumbs and receipts that connect us to our collective origins, chapters, eras, both of peace and war.
In their importance, with so much of the world seemingly only available at the end of a closed and gilded gavel. They also knew that in the tension between the world rapidly changing, new means were required to better assure the preservation of that which has come before.
Heritage Ventures was born.
